Hedgehog Arci will tell the children from 120 schools about Elections and the functioning of Student Councils

The fifth edition of the electoral comics is ready to be distributed to primary school children. In this edition, the cartoon hero, hedgehog Arci, has a friend, turtle Besva. They go on vacation together, but arrive on island ALAOCS (the reverse version of the word "school"), where they participate as observers in the Student Council election day.

E-learning Platform a of The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CCET)

The e-learning platform of the The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE) is a complex project, funded under the project "E-learning for Free and Fair Elections" and is addressed to all people who want to play a role in the context of electoral elections.

The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CCET) by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Moldova is a public institution subordinated to CEC, established in line with art. 27 of the Electoral Code.

The Centre has been established for the purpose of training and qualifying the electoral officials including the persons in the Register of electoral officials, their ongoing professional training and of the subjects involved in the election process in the Republic of Moldova, as well as other interested persons.

UNDP and UK to Support Broad Democratic Education and Voter Participation Campaigns

The UK continues to support inclusive and transparent elections in the Republic of Moldova with a new funding of USD 910,900. The funds are provided by UNDP under the project ‘Enhancing democracy in Moldova through inclusive and transparent elections’ and will allow for extensive democratic education campaigns as well as for promoting participation in elections, especially for under-represented groups. The Centre for Continuous Electoral Training organised the international scientific conference ‘Quality of democracy, electoral security, youth participation – interferences, challenges, solutions’

The aim of the conference was to debate the interplay between democracy, electoral security and youth participation, to highlight the challenges they pose to the quality of democracy, and to identify and propose solutions for decision-makers to improve the democratic process as a whole. Read more...
